Rabies Clinic

On Saturday, May 18th from 1:00 - 3:00 PM at the Gloucester High School Student Parking Lot,  Animal Control along with Gloucester Veterinary Hospital and The Rotary Club of Gloucester will be hosting a Rabies Clinic. This will be a dog only event, $10 Cash only with proceeds to benefit "Friends of Animal Control", all dogs must be leashed, please muzzle any aggressive dogs. All rabies vaccines will default to a one-year expiration (three-year rabies vaccines will be available with proof of a prior rabies vaccine). Urbanna Farmer's Market and 2nd Saturdays Event

Urbanna’s Farmers Market is hosted by Urbanna Business Association.  The market is held at Taber Park, 425 Bonner Street, in historic Urbanna.  The market is open from 9am-1pm Saturday, May 11th

Vendors will feature a variety of fresh produce, plants and flowers, seafood, homemade baked goods, handmade crafts and jewelry, nautical furnishings and décor, and various types of artwork.

Bring the entire family (including pets) and enjoy a day of shopping and stroll through the historic Town of Urbanna.

Check out the local shops, restaurants, museum and beautiful water views, all within easy walking distance of the market.

And after the market stick around and Urbanna will be having their "Urbanna's 2nd Saturdays" event on starting at 4 p.m. in Taber Park. Live music by Rein Radio sponsored by Little Jimmy's Restaurant!  Free to the public.  All ages welcome.  Please bring lawn chairs, blankets and coolers (no glass please).  Food trucks and vendors too! 

 

Abingdon Episcopal Church's "Abingdon Day" Community Celebration

Abingdon Episcopal Church to hold Inaugural “Abingdon Day” Community Celebration on Saturday, June 15th. Vendor applications are being accepted.

Gloucester County – Save the date for an exciting day of community, vendors, children’s activities, concessions and more, at the Inaugural Abingdon Day Community Celebration.

Taking place on Saturday, June 15th from 11 a.m. until 3 p.m. at Abingdon Episcopal Church in Hayes, this family-friendly extravaganza promises a fun variety of activities designed to celebrate our wonderful community.  

Attendees can look forward to a variety of attractions, including:

  • Local Vendors: From goat milk soap, quilting, and other crafts to local businesses and organizations, there will be lots of vendors to browse
  • Rides and Activities for Purchase: Ride Tickets are available for purchase or you can buy a wrist band for all you can ride access. Wrist bands are $15 in advance or $20 at the door.
  • Concessions: Savor tasty treats and refreshments available throughout the day. Stop by and grab lunch!
  • Interactive Activities: Whether participating in an archeological dig on the historic grounds with our friends at Fairfield Foundation, enjoying story time with the awesome team from the Gloucester Library, touching a fire truck or a Gloucester County Sheriff’s Office vehicle while learning from our local first responders – there will be lots of activities for kids and adults alike.

Admission to "Abingdon Day” is free, and all proceeds from food and ride tickets are going to raise funds for the new inclusive and accessible playground being constructed on the church grounds.
