Job Description

Xtra 99.1 FM / WXGM AM & FM is seeking a motivated, results-driven Account Executive to join our sales team.

This position offers an established, producing client base, a competitive base salary plus uncapped commission, and the opportunity to grow with a locally focused radio station.

The ideal candidate enjoys building relationships, helping local businesses succeed, and developing creative advertising solutions. Our coverage area includes Gloucester, Mathews, Middlesex, York County, Williamsburg, and the Northern Neck.

As the station's business continues to grow, the successful candidate will have the opportunity to help build and expand our sales operation, with the potential to play an important role as additional sales staff are added.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and grow an existing portfolio of advertising clients.
• Develop new business through networking, prospecting, referrals, and community involvement.
• Create and sell effective radio, digital, sponsorship, and promotional advertising campaigns.
• Build lasting relationships with local businesses and decision-makers.
• Meet sales goals and identify new revenue opportunities.
• Represent the station at community and business events.
• Work with station staff to ensure successful execution of client campaigns.

Qualifications

• Sales experience preferred, especially in media, advertising, or business-to-business sales.
• Strong communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills.
• Self-motivated, organized, and comfortable pursuing new business.
• Creative approach to helping clients achieve their marketing goals.
• Ability to manage multiple accounts and priorities.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
